    Massive Clayton County, GA, Mattress Warehouse Destroyed by Fire

    Clayton County Fire Chief Tim Sweat said the cause of the fire in the 200,000 square-foot structure is under investigation.

    Clayton County firefighters battled a blaze the destroyed a massive mattress and furniture warehouse.

    Heavy fire was through the roof as crews responded Tuesday night, Clayton County Chief Tim Sweat told 11Alive.

    Dozens of firefighters were involved in the operation at the 200,000 square-foot building that contained extremely combustible products.

    Crews took a defensive mode as the fire intensified. 

    The cause remains under investigation.
